EE - The new Dean(o)

What do people want to see when Dean returns? Do we want a completely new Dean, like what we saw from his last episode, or some of what he was like before he went to prison?
Also, we know that Stan tells Shirley that he's living nearby, but how would we like to see him return? Shirley going to find him?

I want a bit of both, but more of what we saw when he came out of prison. I don't want him to be a pushover and I can't wait to see tptb explore his relationship with Shirley and the rest of the family.

I think it would be quite a good way to introduce him if maybe Stan manages to wheedle his way into the Carter's everyday life, Shirley sees what he's doing and does everything she can to stop it from happening, and maybe she succeeds in convincing them that he's bad news, but then he tells her he's in contact with Dean and he can persuade him to make contact with Shirley, but only if she drops the vendetta against Stan. That way you'd get Shirley being very conflicted as she wants to see Dean again but she also knows how toxic Stan is for the family.

It was mentioned in the press release when it was announced Matt was returning and also by Stan last week that he's now calling himself Dean.

I always thought he was surplus to requirements. I hope stays long enough for Shirley to resolve some of her demons and then leaves. It's the only plot device that would make any sense. He didn't add anything during his first stint so I don't see how he will now.
