I have 3 times received push to talk messages on my mobile.

Not had any experience of these. What are they and are they generated by being connected to mobile internet that is switched on on the phone?

    Are you sure they weren't WAP Push messages? As far as I know, push to talk service was discontinued by UK networks many years ago. Now there are just third party services and you would know if you had signed up to them.
