Why is launch night not on a Friday?

Is this the first time it's been on a night other than Friday night? Seems such an odd day to launch! Starting way too early this year too, not even finished my essays yet

Nope,BB14/15 launched on Thursday. BB13 on a Tuesday,BB11/9 on a Wednesday. They're the only ones I can remember

Don't think it's launched on a Friday since 2005.

It hasn't launched on a Friday for about 10 years now.

I cant remember the last time BB started on a Friday [except from CBB in January, that started on a Friday last year I think]. it must be at least a good 10 years at least. However this is the earliest in the week it has started though as its normally a Wednesday or a Thursday

BB13 in 2012 also started on a Tuesday, I think.

And I think BB12 started on a Friday, did it not? The first regular series on C5, though it may not count since it followed directly on from CBB8.

BB1 was a Tuesday, though the housemates had gone in 3 days earlier and we were watching highlights.
