Classic/Big Finish/novel writers you'd like to see writing for the new series

Are there any writers you've been particularly impressed by on other formats of the show who've yet to write for the new series - if so WHO? And before a load of you write "Robert Holmes" and "Douglas Adams" I'm going to make it a condition that these writers actually be alive and working today ;-)

The Nic Briggs tale would end with his beloved pepperpots killing everyone. Seriously, I'm fairly certain he'd exterminate the Doctor in big finish if the BBC let him. ;-)

That's why we had RTD - To counterbalance that kind of disturbance in the force. Moffat doesn't do the same job. And his minions appear to be ejected very soon, so they never counterbalance his counterbalance.
