I am finding this a bit confusing. They do not have the condition they first thought and Zara is going ahead with a face lift the day after they were told it was something different?
What if there was treatment that could prevent the ageing.
True, I was thinking how pretty the unaffected sisters are. Will Zara be satisfied with the surger? Or could it make her want to achieve 'perfection'. She sounds so mature I hope she will be satisfied.
Very sad diagnosis, however if they had seen specialists earlier in their lives maybe some of the serious medical complications could have been avoided?

I think genetic screening has come on leaps and bounds over the last 30 years or so. There wasn't much known about alot of such conditions back 40 years or so ago, so they may not have known about the condition they've been diagnosed with now. It certainly sounded very rare. If they didn't know what they had or were mis-diagnosed then they wouldn't necessarily have known the medical complications, presumably.

"Your sister looks normal" Yeah, thanks for that vote of confidence.
I cringed at that - how tactful(!).
