Seeing as it got lost in Part 11 of this Epic Tale.
    http://entertainment.stv.tv/tv/307927-big-brother-dowling-confirms-return-of-the-live-feed/
thats what brian said in an Article on the 5th of june THIS year...
Quite frankly if they cant get it right about the format how the hell can people sit down and believe what they are seeing as 'fact' night on night..I wouldnt ask Endemol C5 for the bloody time at this moment..

the problem many of us have is that we had 11 years on C4
with good production/livefeed/website/housemate and although some silly production decisions were made,C4 did a good job.

C4 also had a reasonable relationship with its viewers.

C5 on the other hand have no relationship with its viewers
    no livefeed/awful housemates/poor production/very poor format.

I think we all expected C5 to be as good as C4 and carry on producing BB as it always had been

sadly C5 don't care and don't understand what BB is or its fan base

an old article from august 2011 but very relevant

Ford: luxurious Big Brother can define C5

“It’s good to make a statement that it’s a programme that is absolutely cared for and has the production values you’d expect from a global hit. It’s properly resourced and that’s a good message, so as a viewer you can see it’s in really good hands,” said Tim Hincks. [endemol]

    FAIL

Desmond said he would be “very disappointed” if the audience was around 2m, down from the 2.9m it averaged in its final season on Channel 4 but above C5’s average of 1.4m in the 9pm slot during August last year.

    FAIL

C5 will seek to retain new viewers by scheduling flagship shows around Big Brother, including a new series of North One’s The Gadget Show, Shed-produced US dating show format The Bachelor and OK! TV specials.

Advertisers are only interested in what ratings go out in a slot they have paid to advertise in,not what may be added on later.
its the here and now,and these ratings are way off the mark.

    I think it was 1.33 for Tues..(excl +1)
so again around the 1,4 million its way below what Ford.desmond wanted.

Would they axe CBB? no. but normal BB has to be in dire trouble

Bumping this for Obvious reasons..people cant argue when its his words directly and seeing the silence coming from C5 doesnt take a Genius to work out why ;).

Clearly they got it wrong.they got it wrong not taking the test from the last CBB seeing there was a following for the feed and expanding the hours across the Channel 5 network.

We here dont believe the new format is as well liked as C5/Endemol think If people want towie/GS they will watch those shows.

and its clear What C5 are trying to do...Create a Race Scandal = lets reach C5's magic 2 million mark...Endemol should be running away from these people and getting out of this contract

So far the magic number hasn't been reached
    this stinks of desperation now
funny how Daily Star haven't done any front page
    story this year until now

i'm sure some people will see that desmond quote as a throw away comment like when he said he wanted coronation street for channel 5
but it's words from the horses mouth
a 2 million figure seemed achievable to me but that was until channel 5 & endemol moulded the show into 'at home with the towie clones'

1.4 million is average for channel 5 but is very disappointing
    for big brother

forget all that 16-34 spin stuff coming from channel 5 towers, big brother just hasn't performed as well as channel 5 had hoped for
there is no getting away from that

yep.when someone pulls out a number that puts it out of the range of throwaway comments,As you said he had an idea of what the performance was going to be.

They were mad not taking the lesson from CBB earlier this year and seeing they got it wrong last year had a chance to redeem this year and failed to take the chance.

At least we now know where the 2million figure came from

i remember Jeff Ford saying that by BB moving channels they expected a slight drop in ratings.Going by these comments it doesn't seem he was thinking of a drop to 1.4m a night.

1.26 million for last night Rzt kindly posted in the ratings thread this wasnt with +1
but when you take the article Livefeed posted it really does question the longterm future of normal BB.

Sorry Mr Ford its not working in this current format you got it wrong and sooner someone from endemol finds faith in the show again and tells C5 its wrong the sooner things can change.

    Bye BBUK.
    Watching the feed from BBUSA.
Really hope the guys at endemol are happy for fans to get what they want we are paying for the american service.

Yup those ratings are really proving you got it right and everything you have done is perfect.
just watch out for those emails from a General from Nigeria asking for some money and you get millions in return.

they have a a similar live feed to ours,
the only difference is that ours is for the producers only
whereas the viewers are invited to watch live feed for BBUSA

c5 missed a f word in the noon edition of bb (ash blurted one out on her task)...
so i can see the editing problem

but! c5 have 3 channels with time to fill, the "actors are there" and so are the "watchers" which means c5 hardly needs to add to the crew they have in order to cheaply fill that "content" time they have to fill.

the live feed and a same day evening show is what is missing. not having it ruins eviction and weekend shows because we know the eviction is out of time with everything else shown

Okay so we know whos been evicted before 22:00 yet the live stream is still only 30 mins
so theres the excuse of 'they cant show spoilers past 22:30'
I think people need to stop trying to defend endemol/C5 they cleary dont have a bloody clue what they are doing with this show.
