im thinking of putting a 1.5 tb hardrive in my ps3 its got a 320gb in at the moment and would like to put all my films on it that are on an external at the moment and all my games.
will load times and game performance be affected by the larger hard drive?
will all the separate film files stll take ages to load like they do off the external?

Films might load quicker. SD content should look better from the internal drive. If you press Select whilst viewing content, you might notice higher video bitrates being displayed (moreso with DivX/Xvid encoded .avi than .vog or .m2st transcoded MKVs).
