Farage condemns schoolkids for creating app where he boots immigrants out of the uk
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/nigel-farage/11307663/Nigel-Farage-condemns-schoolchildren-for-making-risible-anti-Ukip-app.htmlNigel Farage has condemned a phone app made by schoolchildren featuring a character called Nicholas Fromage kicking immigrants off the white cliffs of Dover.
The UKIP leader said the game where players kick immigrants as far as possible to gain the highest "racism" rating is "risible and pathetic" and "crosses the line".
But principal of Canterbury Academy Phil Karnavas said his technology class' project was "just a bit of fun".
The student developers, who have formed game design company FonGames, say the game called Ukik aims to "make a mockery of extremist views"
We condemn terrorists acts. We condemn murder. Condemning kids for making an app is not reasonable.
I think it's humorous, obviously. Yet again it looks like Froma- I mean Farage says he's game for a joke but doesn't like criticism of him based on freedom of speech. I do see it as political satire.

and if immigrants really were thrown off the cliffs of Dover, how funny would it be?
Either the school children need a better teacher, or the concept of racism has been reclassified again by the left to suit their political agenda.
A points based immigration scheme is hardly equal to kicking people off a cliff anyway. Poor brainwashed kids not being taught the truth.
It is indeed a loss of the sentence you didn't manage to finish.
Farage's comments on this lead me to the following conclusion. He wants freedom of speech but not when it goes against his views and opinions. If he doesn't care about the "devalued" word "racist" he would not be making such strong comments.
He said it was "risible and pathetic". Really? It's pathetic? What do you think?
This is a sign that Farage needs to work out why his party is seen this way by some people. Is it the media? One suggests as 18 year olds, the creators have a reasonably good handle on the idea of politics and the nature of UKIP. So one must ask what it is about them that makes views such as this to be a common occurrence? I think the party needs to change the way it operates. Have a look at its views/articulation of those views.
The teacher will probably turn out to be a NUT/Socialist Worker member.
Thanks for pointing it out. Corrected.
Don't see the humour.
Maybe instead of complaining, UKIP could produce a more accurate game of their own, where thousands of migrants are flooding in to Britain and you have to run around adding more cash to hospitals, schools etc. and build more houses before the welfare state collapses and social cohesion breaks down.
You have to choose whether to adopt the multiculturalism and segregation strategy, or the integration one. There could even be a bonus level, where you have to try to deport foreign criminals before the European court or the EU stops you.
It might make quite a good game and certainly be very educational for the pupils. I wonder if the teacher would object though?
Yeah great idea! You could call it "UKIP UK Simulator 2015". And then do in-game purchases to create the UKIP party in the game. And then have them say completely "normal" things like disparaging remarks about homosexuals, migrants, and generally anyone that doesn't agree with their "my way or the highway" strategy. You can confront people who accuse you of being racist by threatening them. You could even have an image editor to help design the clothing of the people lining all the streets laughing at the UKIP members....in game of course.
I'm sure it's the next big thing. The kids will love playing it this Christmas.
I kind of doubt that they could. If they can't get their heads round Twitter, I imagine games design would be WAY beyond them.
That's probably because you aren't the target audience. Also humour is a personal thing. What works for thousands or millions may not work for one.
Sometimes p*** and the n word are just humour, so perhaps it is a personal thing after all. The target audience is immaterial it is those who are defamed or denigrated that matter. We see through you. I have no objection to the micky take I am not comfortable it is a school project but there you go.
I can just imagine the outrage
.....................................tumbleweed........................................
You can't have it both ways. You need to accept this is the world you want. If you can't, perhaps you need something else instead.
As for your first sentence - that's a horrible and irrelevant thing to say. It's not humour in the way you're suggesting it.
Target audience...defamed..wha? If someone thinks you are racist Blair, that's their opinion. You can't do anything about that.
There's nothing to see "through". These students wanted to create a game. It's satire. I think it's a good thing they're interested in politics. The next step is to show them that intolerance and hatred are not themes to have at the core of a political party....
To be honest he has a point - the teacher could have used a more positive subject for the game - say kicking politicians off the white cliffs of Dover or solving a maze.
Both odious (insert word of choice here) anyway.
