Help! I need shoes to match a dress

Hi Everyone
I have purchased a dress for my other half as a surprise but I am at a complete loss as to what type of shoes would go with it.
I'm not looking for anyone to provide me with actual photos (although that would be useful) just a style and colour. I am looking at heels but as a fashion novice I have no idea.
I have added a link to the dress so you can have a look for yourself.

Much appreciated

Must say, buying shoes for a woman is riskier than a dress, as shoes are a very very personal thing, but ehat I suggested kind of ties in ith the evening glam look, good luck
Try ebay and googling strappy / glam sandals
I don't know how much you are planning to spend, but if I had that dress I would get something like these:

Or something similar to those.

No platform sole at all!
These Jimmy Choo heels are a classic;

but perhaps in a navy/midnight blue to match the dress.

Or how about being adventurous and adding a spash of colour:

Although in saying that, I think you're very brave buying the Mrs shoes. They can be very personal. Perhaps take her out on a shopping trip and a spot of lunch? That way she gets shopped, fed and gets to spend the day with you.

Lol just realised the poster above has picked one of the same as me. I didn't look at anyone else's before posting
The dress is lovely, I noticed it myself when browsing recently.
A couple of these are stripper-esque. I would not choose these. Sorry.
Seriously? They look like normal work shoes to me and, no, my job isn't stripping
Yes seriously. You would wear these to work? http://www.office.co.uk/view/product/office_catalog/2,37/1330886265?awaid=78888&utm_source=aw&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=78888%7CSkimbit&awc=2374_1396819569_be0a0062af8e5e02c02b52a12f654c47&istCompanyId=a5878f77-5a08-4067-8ebf-aeff72525cae&istItemId=qwlpxwmm&istBid=t
I find them a bit tarty, sorry.
The whole platform thing is very dated IMO. Much prefer a classy pair of courts, but each to their own. I am forty after all, so probably those shoes are not my demographic.
Agree totally those shoes are vile, but then I see a lot of women wearing similar with a nice dress but the cheap looking shoes just spoil the whole outfit.
I'm trying to imagine the faces of my colleagues if I turned up for work in those!
You can't go wrong in a pair of court shoes, but maybe they're too boring for most.
Yes I would wear them to work and don't find them 'tarty' (whatever that means) at all. think they're a nice, plain, neutral pair of summer shoes.
I'm older than you btw, and I'd say most of my friends wear those sorts of shoes
Offering to take her shopping to buy shoes to go with the dress is a great idea.
I would be practicing hard on my pole if that was the case
I love high heels.
It is not the heel, it is the stripper-esque platform sole. It is hideous. I am genuinely shocked that any woman over 25 would wear those shoes. Literally
I just find them ugly to look at sorry. It's cool if you like them though, we can't all like the same things
My OH bought me them!
They are now what I class as 'indoor' shoes
I think it's the offence language such as stripper esque and tarty that bothers me more than people having different taste in footwear. Plus the horror that anyone over the age of 25 wearing fashionable footwear rather than sensible shoes deserves a shocked look of horror for doing so. Each to their own and all that but why so bitchy about those who choose a different style?
Bet the OP is glad they asked now
It's not the heel, or the fact that they are fashionable, it's that 4cm platform that is the problem. However you are right, we all have different taste and I will be more mindful of this in future.
