Might be a silly question but,
Will you still be able to play ESO without the the monthly subscription or will it be a case that a month after you buy the game your left with a paper weight if you don't pay the subscription?

If it's a monthly subscription like most other MMO games have, you'll probably get 30 days free when you buy the game and once that month is up, if you don't pay the subscription fee your account becomes inactive until you pay the monthly fee.

So does that mean it will still be a full priced game €65-€75 or just the same price as the monthly subscription?

Amazon have it list @ £49.99 on console and £33.39 on pc, so a full price game, and will be monthly subs required to play - guesses are around $15(ish)

Yup, Seawolf is right. :) It'll be a fully priced game with a monthly fee of £9.00.

£200 for the year seems very very steep for a game

You will get updates, new features and content in regular intervals (dependant on how much bethesda want to invest into the game). Several mmos start of as sub based but i believe all but one have went free to play.
