Anyone on Plusnet using Acestream?

Sky have just hiked my monthly fee, and their customer service is beginning to do my head in. Are there any PlusNet Unlimited customers here (non-fibre) who are succesfully using Acestream for live sport feeds? If so, with or without the need for a VPN?

I just wondered how PlusNet's traffic management affected Acestream viewing.

    I'm with Plusnet and use Acestream to watch cricket and F1 - works very well. I never thought to use a VPN. My connection is usually 12mbps.

    Many thanks for that. I've read a couple of scare stories that PlusNet's throttling of P2P traffic would affect the likes of AceStream, so it's good to hear from someone with actual (and positive) experience of Plusnet/Acestream.

    I suppose the extent of the throttling will depend on contention ratios and load in my area (I'm in West London), but at least I now know that it is possible for some to use Acestream on PlusNet
