I see Tesco and Argos clearance have them on ebay. Are they refurbished by Apple with new cases like the ones you get from the Apple site?

Same price as Apple Refurbs, so I'd say yes.

Any item of apple's that a chain will sell will need to be refurbished by them also in-order for the store to re-sell them on and to be covered under warranty

most cases these things are like brand new i got my one that way

I would imagine a refurb would be just as good as a brand new iPad as they will still go through quality tests and usually be re cased if the original one is scratched etc.

Agreed, no doubt.... they wipe it, test and QA it, they replace the batterys, they replace the case... good as new, surely...

I hear the Apple shop sold out at that price.

Ebay is selling fast too. Looks like I got a good deal.
