I did not know she went to nursery. Usually she is dumped on Dot.
Roxi does not work, why doesn't she look after her own child? Oh yes, it would get in the way of her having sex with assorted Moons, Brannings and Slaters.

She works in RnR's.
Well most soap toddlers never appear onscreen anyway.
It would make sense that you never see her - you never see soap children, and it represents Roxy as a crap mum - but they re-cast her not long ago, didn't they? Seems a lot of bother for two scenes.

I'm sure there was a thread on this not long ago? Anyway, like I said in the other one, she is seen occasionally, like when Christian and Syed were babysitting her, again when she was sitting on the sofa with Ronnie and Roxy, we saw her once in her pushchair.. somewhere... and Roxy was holding her when she moved house.
So she does exist, but only when it's convenient to a storyline. Soap babies seem a lot easier to look after (and get rid of when necessary) than real babies
whenever i see Amy, i always notice that she's got one of those portible dvd players right in front of her, i swear she had it on when she was in her buggy!
The reason we dont see child actors much in soaps, and we go around 4-5 weeks without seeing them on-screen, is because they have to attend school in real-life.
they have to balance, school, homework, and the soap they appear in.
Very young children are restricted by law in how long they can be on set afterall they have to have some kind of childhood. With babies they have more than one playing each baby.

Brilliant thread - I couldn't remember who Amy was either until I started reading it! ANd Jack has to be the worst dad evr ( I KNOW it's a soap) but he just seems to have kids and forget all about them....

Babies and very young children don't do anything in their scenes and I doubt they even realise they're "working". Talk about taking something way too far!

Indeed!
we've seen more of George than Amy recently

getting driving lessons from Lauren
surely that cant be doing her much good?

But we still see George quite often.
