Always nice to have Steph appear on BBC Breakfast before I go of to work.

An intelligent cheery lass with a great figure & an accent that annoys a lot of people who think it's wrong for the BBC to let someone from up t'North appear on national TV.

Theres nothing wrong with Steph's accent, it's nice to hear a bit of variety from around the UK.

They didn't say that. They just meant that they were surprised that someone with such a broad regional accent was hired as a BBC presenter. Probably on the particular type of TV programme she's on.

I suppose it may have been a factor if she had directly applied for a position to be in front of the camera. But as she was a producer first and the work was behind the camera, they perhaps had more time to get to know her and appreciate her intelligence, ability, and potential as a presenter too.

Who are these work-shy insomniacs who watch Breakfast TV only to ogle the presenters ?

I suppose a link is too much to expect ?
As a shift worker, I see some of breakfast BEFORE work.
Also posting 10.45am, hope you were not at the desk being work shy :D

I used to think Stef was common, but I've realised she's anything but.

Her accent is far too strong for a national show - in her profession - she should be toning it down a little - you don't hear Alistair Stewart with a Danny Dyer strength accent.

    What rubbish.

I was thinking the same. She hasn't been on the last couple of weeks with Charlie either and she's usually first cover when louise is away.

Yes maybe you have hearing issues - or some other problem, her accent is North East, next people will be asking Ant n Dec to tone it down....not my favorite accent but there you go.......

Not that I can see. I think she looks lovely this morning.

It's a bit brash cutting to Steph straight after Carol.

Ridiculous. It is hardly a strong accent.
