Where can I access the break-down of the results by local authority?
I know Plaid won in this county but I'd like to know by how much.

As good as UKIP could have expected, highest share of the vote and the most UK MEPs while the Lib Dems keep just one seat. Sends just the message the EU should receive but will no doubt ignore.

I hope the UKIP MEP for Wales Nathan Gill will actually bother turning up in the European parliament to fight Wales' corner in a constructive way, and to help continue the transfer of considerable funding the poorest parts of Wales receive from the EU.

I wonder whether people who voted UKIP in Wales had considered the appalling records of UKIP MEPs.

No surprise that the areas of the UK that have the most immigrants have had a Labour majority.

Pfft, and no surprise that UKIP won in many places which are practically homogenously white and with very few immigrants i.e. capitalizing on the politics of fear and xenophobia.

There was one stupid fart banging on about immigrants.... and when told that there were barely any around, he was stumped for an answer.

Those areas of London where people of all races, origins, and backgrounds live together (including a very large proportion of white 'native' Brits of course) rejected UKIP.

Unless you have a breakdown of the ethnicities of all votes you cannot say which ones rejected UKIP . They still got 371,000 in London.
Also the majority of voters in London voted for a party that wants a referendum.

I notice you didn't tell this person that:

To summarise: Clegg's plan to take on Farage utterly failed at the polls too. Conservatives not beaten so much by Labour as some polls suggested. EU parliament is still strongly pro-EU with the large EPP, Socialists and Libs blocking any attempts to reform with their majority.

Because polls show he's probably right.

Yes, and polls show that more mixed areas did not vote UKIP in numbers seen in more homogenous areas.

Could this also explain the nationalistic Plaid Cymru winning on the west coast of Wales ?

I'm not sure of your point.
You seem to be agreeing with The Wizard.

I was just questioning you implying that in London..

No. Why? What has Plaid said to make you think this?

I'd also like a UKIP supporter on here could tell me how Nathan Gill, UKIP MEP for my region will do a better job of representing our voice in Europe, and fighting to keep European funded projects going, when he says he doesn't see the point in turning up there?

I might be wrong but they won all the major welsh speaking areas
It would have been a disaster for Wood had plaid lost that seat under her leadership.

Is the fact that the majority of people in London are immigrants or second , third generation immigrants , have anything to do with it ? . Look at Tower Hamlets , even the 3 main parties don't get voted for there .

UKIP got 17 per cent in London and nearly 400000 votes. It polled more than the Greens and LDs combined and won the popular vote in 3 boroughs.

There clearly are a lot of Londoners who voted UKIP - albeit mainly in outer London.

I am not sure if the UKIP Asian MEP is a practising Muslim or even of Muslim descent. All his website says was he was born to parents from Pakistan.

The Leeds businessman said: "Here I am, of Asian birth, of Asian parentage, Muslim, and I have been selected by this so-called racist party.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Yougov had the closest matching polls for the Euros, having UKIP nailed on pretty much.

The polls that UKIPers band around where out by around 5% (too high). Gives and indication of which pollsters are good to use in future me thinks ! :)

Who knows how views moved in the last few days after Comres did their final poll- it was clear the media barrage was having some effect. Given you gov polls move from 7 per cent Labour leads to 1 per cent leads within 48 hours on a regular basis even they suggest voters are very volatile.

No responses then. Thought there wouldn't be.
What a useless one-trick pony they are.
