Tailor for downsizing jeans?

Has anyone used a tailor to size down a pair of jeans? Did they come out ok?

I managed to track down a particular pair of jeans that I really like (got them cheap), but they're one size too big. I'm wondering what a tailor can do for me.

The jeans in question are Bootcut (Diesel Zathan). I have another exact same pair, correct size. I'm thinking I would go in with both and ask them if they can reduce the larger size pair to match the smaller size. Is that doable?

    Yeah I've used a dry cleaners to alter two pairs of jeans I got cheap in the sale but were a size too large. I couldn't tell where they'd been altered what so ever.

    Cheers, not had any experience with tailors so wasn't sure.
