National Television Awards 2011 - advice for those attending

I have tickets to The National Television Awards 2011 Does anybody know: Will there be an opportunity to see the stars before the show or will the red carpet be blocked off? Do I need a wristband to stand by the red carpet? What is the best time to get to the 02 for the red carpet? I heard last year people were there at 11.00 in the morning is this true? Is there a way of getting a backstage pass?
Any other information would be great too I want to know as much as I can so I can make the most of the night/day?

There is the opportunity to go on the red carpet but a wristband is needed. Wristbands are on a first come first served basis from 2pm.

Red carpet access opens from 4:30 ahead of the stars arriving at 5:30

    Hi all,

I've got the thread title tweaked to try to get more info for you and to stop people thinking it's a general thread about the NTAs.

Hope you get the tips you need.

    Mike :)

PS Welcome friend to the s and Jack102. Have fun posting in here!

I am sure its smart clothing a friend pointed it out to me and its on the internet

    Its on the FB page

but i also emailed them using the contact us on the NTA website and someone emailed me back. Not sure if they will respond by tomorrow now though.

You might be ok with a shirt and smart trousers.

I've just found this old thread from 2008 and it was black tie back then...

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=808307

Edit : Just seen that that was at the Albert Hall. I doubt the O2 would be strict on black tie
