It's said Richard III was killed with a poleaxe by a Welshman - Sir Rhys ap Thomas, a descendant of Dynevor, the royal house of the south Wales princes.
It's funny how the announcement of this coincided with the documentary on Channel 4 tonight. If the programme makers did all the dna testing etc then I think this all a load of balls. It's not him at all.

It's not Jeremy Kyle:D proper scientists did the testing.

Do you actually know anything about the scientists and the methodology used, not to mention sponsorship of archaeology and Channel 4's involvement in Time team?
Will there be a state funeral for richard the third. After all he was a king of england albeit with underhanded methods to get the crown and will we get the day off for his funeral

He was a catholic though, so I guess there'd be issues about giving him an anglican funeral.
That woman is a bit of a drama queen though. She has managed to annoy me at least once each time she has appeared on camera so far. The University of Leicester team didn't look very impressed with her either.
Now they're scanning the skeleton and doing a face reconstruction at great cost without doing the dna first?
Er....no; that's the programme editor trying to fit months of work, most of it boring, into a 1 hour 35 minute programme and keep the pace even and attention-grabbing all the way through.
I'm interested in how that woman deduced the body would be in Greyfriars church. She seemed completely emotional and unable to reason throughout the whole programme.

Leicstershire has a strong record in this area.
And has officially won the title from Osma Bin Laden.
His tomb is in St Peter's church, Carmarthen:

Yes, and they probably got a backhander. I demand an independent review.

Indeed.

The Ricardian lady's obsession with it being him before the event is slightly perplexing.
Hmmm...
I was begining to think I had been too subtle.
You say odd, I say passionate and she's obviously not the only one.
She raised over £10k to dig up a council car park on a bit of research and a hunch and found a lost king.

Actually, the painting looks far better
