I have Life On Mars that came free with News Of The World. Its all the discs in a Special Collectors sleeve. I am hoping that now the paper is no longer running it might become a collectors piece.......you never know
For a few years, I have been trying to get hold of a copy of Helen Mirren's The Hawk. First shown on BBC during the mid 1990s, it is extremely hard to find online. However, I was browsing in Gosport Market recently, when I was on holiday, and lo and behold, I found a copy which cost me £2.50.
It should be more freely available for it is a damn good story, with good performances from Helen Mirren, and George Costigan as her mysterious husband who may be The Hawk, being sought after by the police after a series of gruesome murders on women.
I have number 12/100 of a limited edition Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Bluray release, which I won in a competition through their official UK Facebook page.
However, I doubt its worth much. What makes it special isn't the actual content, but the cardboard surround for the case has 12/100 where the barcode would usually be, and its in a special box with the Harry Potter wanted poster on the front. It has my name printed on the inside and the date I collected it (this was before its general release)/ how I won it so I guess that removes value as its personal. Would never sell anyway.
I'm keeping them. I might trade in stuff at CEX, but I've never used ebay or anything like that. Can't be bothered.
As for Brittas.... I bought all seven series as individual sets from an Age UK charity shop for £2.99 each. I've since sold on 6 and 7 to CeX, because I didn't think they any good. Love 1 to 5, though.
I have a steel book release of Metropolis on the Masters of Cinema label. (still unopened) Worth around 70-100 quid.
Apparently the Sony warehouse where stock is kept was burnt down during the London riots.
Every cloud eh.:)
Ive got the deleted Im Alan partridge season 1 dvd that was quickly withdrew because they didnt get rights for a jni mitchell song (i think) Ive seen it on amazon in the past for about £40
I had a dozen copies of the original Ultimate cut and luckily flogged them all for good money, the last one just as the re-release was announced. Chance that a hard-core collector may pony up the big bucks now but unlikely.

You could get good money for that once as it was out of print for a long time before the reissue:

It was always limited edition, not sure if the fire had anything to do with it. Sold two copies - One for £95 and another for £125. One currently on Amazon for £47 - Cheapest I`ve seen it for a long time:

My dad got it at our local video shop who were chucking out all their unrated movies in around 1984 or early 1985 for a fiver.

Although I'm not sure if it's still rare, might have had a re-release, it used to be rare

Not that rare. Two different versions of it listed on Amazon, one at twenty quid, one at twenty five.
