I'd never seen this before :o But I watched it on DVD and I rather enjoyed it :D
There were some very funny parts - Eugene Levy is hilarious and I also thought (weirdly) there were some quite touching parts too.
The part where Chris asks the girl from the Glee club (choir) to the prom but then he just makes fun of her to his mates, and she looks on sadly.. :(
And the part with Shannon Elizabeth (I think) on the webcam has to be analysed over and over again :D:p

To be honest, I never really got the hype surrounding these films. I didn't find them very funny and I really do love comedies.

I've seen bits and pieces of them but this was the first time I saw one an AP movie all the way through.

In general I don't adore these type of comedies but I've always believed that the American Pie franchise is the best of it's kind. The whole teen gross-out comedy thing can be seen in other stuff like Road trip, Sex Drive etc. but American Pie is the best one.

I would have thought they were more an adolescent boys giggily stuff.

Didn't rate it, only watched it because it had Willow from Buffy starring and I was a massive fan of that show at the time but I was just bored. Haven't seen any of the sequels.

It was funny on the first watch, then it became utterly banal and a typical 90s teenage comedy.

    Can't say I'm a fan TBH

they are actually doing a 4th

suprised it came together so, some of the cast careers need a boost so, inevitable I guess

Precisley. American Pie is just like a cheap knock off.

Aren't there about 7 AP movies now if you count all the spin offs?

Loved the first film, midly amused by the second, bored by the third.

Loved the first and the second, but The Wedding... meh, could only watch it once or twice. Where as I can watch 1 and 2 again and again :D

Massively over-rated, but a reasonable comedy

That whole late 90s/early 00s Southern California gross out stuff looks really dated. File with nu metal, punk pop and wallet chains.

I agree, watched it the other day and it all seems quite dated. Road Trip is especially dated, the whole concept of mailing a sex tape to your girlfriend just wouldn't happen now with the boom of the internet.

The whole premise of the film is ridiculous.

A female does not have a crust.

Id agree its over rated but think it was as big as it was because of the first of its kind and the 90s and 00s youth were sex mad

I didn't like it, it relied too much on making the audience cringe and not enough on actual jokes.

Love this kind of film though, so it didn't offend me or anything...
