Just idling through you tube, when I came across this GPO instructional film from 1951

Got me thinking what an incredible advance in communications we've seen since those far off days 64 years ago. For both post and phone calls.

I bet they'd never have believed it back then if they'd been told what was coming. Most of it in just the last 20 years.

Nothing much really, just thought I'd share :).

    There's another film from the 60s explaining how fibre optic cables will replace copper and allow for TV programs and home shopping. That one's just kinda sad though seeing as how we've still not achieved the fibre everywhere that was proposed over fifty years ago.
