Welbeck may get a lot of criticism but he always puts in a shift for England.

Are people who say Sterling is disappointing for England kidding? He is easily England's best player.

    Why, what did he do?

Full time - England 2-0 Switzerland.

A win is a win. Hope we can keep the momentum going. Next game is against San Marino so shouldn't be any problems there....

Well done England. Silenced a few people with that win. It was much deserved too.

ITV: "You only scored 2 goals!"
Hodgson: "That is absolute ****ing bollocks, I’m sorry!"

The Swiss have learnt a lesson tonght....just how difficult it can be to beat a lower ranking team. England to note this fact when playing the rest of their games.

Shouldn't be any problems qualifying after that. No other team in our group will try to take the game to us like Switzerland did though so it'll be more a test of our ability to break down sides rather than counter attack like we did tonight.

Job very well done. This England squad has a lot of potential and I didn't expect to be writing that! Delph too raw for the team at the moment in my view.

I reckon Welbeck will prove to be the buy of the season if he is given enough playing time..
