The London votes make interesting reading.

Large turnout and vote for Labour in areas of high immigration such as Newham and Tower Hamlets.

UKIP coming top in boundary boroughs such as Havering and Bexley.

    White flight in London.

Sadly it looks like London is anything than British and a mere multicultural city with various views and opinions that differ from the rest of the country.

I know there were some under hand tactics in some areas of London where Labour activists were basically telling immigrants that a vote UKIP could see them thrown out of the country if they got in.

Minorities and immigrants vote Labour, that's why they're so keen to let in as many as possible.

No surprise, with Labour touting immigrants to come here they knew it would add to their support base.

London looks like the area where the Tories will have the most concerns following this week's elections.

Or maybe people living in a highly successful multicultural community don't fear immigration as much as people that live in a mono culture?

Initially the new immigrants vote labour , but after a few years they will vote for their own ,for example TowerHamlets where the Bangladeshi Mayor is voted in by Bangladeshis despite all the scandals surrounding him .

I doubt they could just throw people out of the country lol :o Pretty cheap tactics if true.

I do think though that the majority of London is more focused on the two main party of Tory / Labour anyway so UKIP / Green / Lib Dem where never going to do well.

I left London 15 years ago , moved abroad for 13 years , came back , didn't like what I see , lived in Essex , saw that go down tha pan as with most urban areas , then moved yet again to a small town where English is spoken , people are friendly , virtually no crime . Bliss .

Those riots were what, 3 years ago?

    How quickly people forget.

I must be getting cynical. My reaction when reading this sort of post is "yes, of course they are" easy to say but not so easy to confirm.

Maybe Mr X means illegal immigrants, although they don't vote.

Or maybe they do in Tower Hamlets :D

Or perhaps the newcomers have brought with them from their native lands such deeply-ingrained vibrant colourful cultural values as blatant postal vote-rigging, sectarian/tribal voting, ballot-box stuffing, intimidation, harassment, secret bribery and influence peddling networks, and cults of personality? All of these have been in full display in Tower Hamlets, and I'm sure in a more restrained fashion in other boroughs.

I've been saying this for ages. London has become a Liberal Loony Bin. It really should declare itself an independent socialist state and build a wall around itself.

Inner London is a concern, but in a General election some of the lost council areas will bring in Conservative seats.

Redbridge council was won by Labour, but will probably bring in 2 seats for the Conservatives in a General Election.

My area in Havering had The Residents Association win the most seats, but will bring in 2 to 3 seats in the General Election for the Tories.

    I agree.

And keep all the tax revenues raised within the city and not hand out to needier parts of the UK.

Yes dahling... but none of this is happening in the coffee shops of Camden where the Eastern Europeans know to keep everything clean

Has all of London's vote been released now??

I hope UKIP wins the Scotland vote, or does enough to damage SNP cannot stand Alex Salmond
