Annoying. The forum changed the capitalisation. What next, will it change my opinions too?

Is that the one that was the predecessor to CNBC?

That was EBN, which merged with CNBC.

Thames, Granada & Yorkshire. Would be nice to see these three showing that you can make decent quality TV without being the BBC.

Virgin 1 without a doubt. Great sci fi and now Murdoch charges for Sky Atlantic (the new name after he bought it out) even though he gets the advertising revenue!
Virgin 1 for me too - I used to like all the old sci-fi stuff. But it became Channel One, then was closed or made 'pick' or summat. Nothing to do with SA AFAIK.

Edit: At least Pick is starting to show ST:Voyager soon. Maybe they'll show other old but much-loved SF stuff too.

So EBC must have been a completely different channel?

    (My childhood TV)

ITV has never been the same since 1982.

True - it wasn't just a TV channel, more part of daily life.

Trouble. I loved watching Diff'rent Strokes when it almost closed to be replaced by a rubbish Living timeshift channel. Even worst, they didn't bother to air Season 5 onwards.

I would bring back BSB's The Power Station. Also, I would bring back the original Cartoon Network! :)
