Has ios 8 affected iPlayer Radio?

I often listen to a couple of 'On Demand' Radio 4 shows one after the other on my iPad but since ios 8 update, when the first has finished, there is no 'DONE' option or any means of navigating back to the menu other than exiting the App and it's still there when you re-open.
Apart from stating that ios 8 is a complete disaster, does anyone have any ideas how to get round this?

    Haven't tried on an iPad but on an iPhone there's a < arrow at the top left which takes you back to "On Demand", or tapping the "On Demand" icon at the bottom does the same thing.

    I don't have either of those.
    As soon as I press either 'On Demand' or 'Favourites' and select a programme, it goes to full screen, with neither of the buttons.
    I'm pretty certain that it was OK last week, so I'm guessing that it's just another Apple ios 8 foul up.
