I am, thanks for the thread. :) So glad she's not wearing those stupid cat ears she wore all through CBB.

She's still as horrible as ever. I'm turning it off right now as I cannot stand another minute of her surly face.

Bless her, she has been through quite a bit of heartbreak with men! It's quite plain to see her tough exterior is mainly just a front. I've always liked her.

Mind you, that sparkly thing she's wearing is kind of distracting, is it a kaftan or what?

If what I've read is true, I highly doubt she'll be fully truthful about her life. She's supposed to be a nightmare to work with.

I've never been sure what to think of Julie to be honest, but I have to say I really respect her attitude towards being stood up at her reception. That must have been heartbreaking, but she pays her respects towards the late man that left her and says that bitterness is a wasted emotion. So true and very wise.

As someone who was brought up on Corrie and loved it for years before I went off it, I think I first heard that story about 20 years ago! :)

I probably did too, but as someone who watched the very first ep all those years ago, my memory is not what it was. :o:D

Yeah, I think it was in my mother's Woman or Woman's Own that I read that, at least 20 years ago :)

She's not actually as talkative or forthcoming as I expected her to be.

I loved Bet Lynch, but I find it impossible to warm to Julie Goodyear. She has some very tragic stories to tell, but the emotion always seems acted to me.

    27 Rovers scenes?

Do they film more scenes than what goes into the episodes? I know they have to film 2 1/2 hours worth of stuff a week but with such a big cast, surely the workload is distributed?

She's not being particularly complimentary about her husband - and he's sitting there, poor sod!

    How embarrassing for him.
