I loved him since towards leaving Blue Peter in 2006, he is a good presenter, when he leaves The One Show, I would love him to host the Parkinson type chat show.

I think he is suited to Countryfile or a programme about nature. He annoys me on the One Show. I would love to see him break out and do something crazy. He is a bit square.

How about Daybreak? ;) Really though his relentless perkiness isn't suited to the early evening,

I'm staggered he gets as much work as he does! He's dreadful.

Hopefully there will be nothing next for Baker, surely the poorest performer ever on primetime TV.

Nothing that isn't scripted, that's for sure.

Baker successfully hosting a chat show? Not a chance.

Hasn't he done some gymnastics commentary - perhaps that's the way ahead:D

Back to the farm would be best, imo.

No doubt a highly competant broadcaster but so lacking in charisma I don't like to watch him.

Hmmm I wouldn't mind say proving his range with a 'serious' drama with requisite 'justified by context' graphic nude scenes :D:o

Shouldn't be any real future for a "John Noakes clone," It's all been done before.

I simply cannot believe that anyone likes Matt Baker's insipid, bland TV persona.

Yes and he used to be a part of that sport too so he has experience.

I like him and think he does a good job.

Oh yes, who could forget his amateurish, unprofessional giggling, gasping and whooping during the London 2012 Olympics. Having said that, he's the sort of man I wouldn't mind keeping as a pet.

Every time there's a guest on The One Show he cannot resist butting and talking over them, asking them inane and stupid questions.

As an interviewer, he seems to be oblivious that the focus should be on the guest and not himself.

He's either interrupting people or laughing at his own jokes.

I'm not really a fan of his on The One Show, I'm not sure why. Then again, I find The One Show insufferable.

Matt comes across as a presenter who everybody's granny loves, mentioning him in idle chatter at church or at the local coffee morning...
