EASTENDERS CHARACTER TO BE LEFT FOR DEAD
One of the biggest EastEnders whodunnits in history will begin this summer, when Janine Butcher is mowed down and left for dead.
The Walford bitch, played by Charlie Brooks, will be on the receiving end of a car bonnet in the summer, when she pushes one local too far. Brooks, 32, said "I cannot to see Janine get her comeuppance The locals will feels sorry for her, but one local will be cartwheels knowing they have left Janine in a critical condition.
The plot plays out over the summer.

EastEnders role for Game of Throne's Star
Finn Jones has joined EastEnders, it has been announced.
The actor, 25, will portray Luke Cotton, the grandson of Dot Branning. It will be revealed that Dot's ex-husband Charlie had an illegitimate daughter, and that daughter had a son. Although not related to Dot by blood, Luke has grown up in the knowledge that Charlie was his grandfather, and regards Dot as his grandmother. Jones said "I am very glad to join the institution that is EastEnders and to be working with the supremely talented cast. Luke is a very complicated character, and its fair to say he's going to ruffle a few feathers!"

New romance for Jay Mitchell?
A recent tabloid report has claimed that Jay Mitchell, played by Jamie Borthwick will begin a new romance with newcomer Luke Cotton.
The Sun claimed that scenes recently filmed show the two in a compromising position, unaware that Abi Branning can see them. An inside reportedly claimed "The two boys begin to fall for each other, and its not long before they start seeing each other behind Abi's back. However, she soon spots them and all hell is set to break loose"
The plot is reported to kick off in August.

As well as the axe being wielded, three returns have been confirmed. Alongside both Barbara Windsor[Peggy Mitchell] and Samantha Womack[Ronnie Mitchell], Glynis Barber[Glenda Mitchell], Ross Kemp[Grant Mitchell] and Daniella Westbrook[Sam Mitchell] will all return to the Square in the coming months. Although exact details of why the family are reuniting, on set pictures show Windsor filming scenes with Womack and Jessie Wallace outside a prison, showing that Peggy may have come back due to Ronnie's release from prison.
A new signing has also been confirmed by the new Exec Producer. Actor John Simm will be joining wife Kate McGowan in the serial as James Young, the husband of Sadie. James is described as "driven, manipulative and calculating" and is said to be after an old enemy. Also joining the two will be Tyger Drew-Honey and Bel Powley as their children, Ryan and Jess Young. The family debut in the coming weeks.
The actress, 34, will play Natasha Harrison, who is the counselor to both Lauren Branning and Jake Stone. Agyemen said "I am thrilled to be joining the show, and as an avid viewer, it is a pleasure to be able to say that I now work on the show! Natasha is a great character, with a big heart, and it's fair to say she won't shy away from saying what she thinks!"
The actress is the latest in a line of new signings, that include Finn Jones, Tyger Drew-Honey, Bel Powley and John Simm.

A source said "Many of the cast assumed that Roxy would take over, however Exec Producer Josh Clark was quick to point out that, after lengthy discussions with Rita Simons who plays the lovable blonde, Roxy would step down from her position as landlady making way for new staff.
It is heavily hinted that James Young, played by John Simm may take over the popular pub, but this remains unconfirmed.
Lauren braces herself for her first counselling session. As she enters the corridor, she bumps into an attractive man in his thirties. "Here for the counselling?" he inquires. "Yeah, supposed to be seeing some woman called Natasha" answers a nervous Lauren. "Oh, Tasha. She's nice. Bit forward, but nice. I'm Jake by the way. Jake Stone."
"Lauren, Lauren Branning." The two continue their chatting, until Lauren decides to bite the bullet and head to her session. She bids Jake farewell, and heads into Natasha's office. Once inside, Lauren realises Jake was right about Natasha, and she pours her heart out about Tanya's cancer and her alcoholism. Natasha simply listens, not passing judgement, leading Lauren to find herself a new ally in her battle against her demons.
Meanwhile, over at the Vic, Alfie is opening up, when Roxy sits him down. "It's about Ronnie. She's out of prison." Roxy slowly explains, as Alfie's face turns ashen. In shock, he rushes out of the Vic and heads towards Kat's, where he shares the news. The former couple share a moment, worrying for Tommy, before Kat suddenly leans in for a kiss, and Alfie responds...
Over at the Butcher household, Bianca is sat with Whitney by Whitney's laptop. "I'm not sure about this!" giggles Bianca, as Whitney sets her up an account on matchmaking site LoveAtFirstSight.com. As the women continue to giggle over Bianca's foray into internet dating, they are shocked when she quickly recieves a match. "He's named Paul, he's in his thirties and looking at these pictures, is a flipping stunner!" laughs Whitney, as Bianca decides to try her luck and arrange a date with Paul. However, she cannot escape the feeling that something may go wrong...
Finally, over at Dot's house, she is settling down with a cup of tea when there is a knock at the door. She opens the door to reveal a young, handsome man stood on her doorstep. Dot's jaw drops when she realises who her visitor is. "Luke..." she utters, in shock. "Hello Nan!" he beams, as Dot looks on in shock...
This episode marks the first appearances of Jamie Lomas as Jake Stone, Freema Agyemen as Natasha Richardson and Finn Jones as Luke Cotton
