I refuse to put the heating on this early in the year. Lots of layers seem to be the way to go. I'll be damned if the utility company gets any more of my money than I can help.

We had 75f max today and was considered mild/cold. Back to the 80's next week.

    I prefer UK weather - I'm weird!

It's funny how I always understand temperatures better in fahrenheit , not sure why, it must be my age I guess.

Cool and cloudy weekend forecast for my area. :)

Equinox in a few days, too.

You'd be burnt to a cinder if it really was 34 degrees C now.

Why? It was easily 30 degrees here a few days in summer. Measured it on my thermometer.
In Italy it nearly touched 40.

Too hot. It is supposed to be Autumn. The temperature has been just right but it has to be spoilt by those stupid temperatures.

Nice warm spell over the next few days. Great thing being that the warmth is so much gentler and more comfortable in the Autumn.

My heating is staying off til October like last year - though we very conveniently have a guy underneath us who cranks it right up to full on the 1st of September seemingly. So no great feat of endurance for us :D

It has gone higher and I don't recall seeing anyone in flames. You REALLY DO have a problem with the occasional high temperature. Are you from Greenland or somewhere similar?

Remind me not to invite you to mine this weekend then. Won't exactly be a bundle of laughs will you.

Personally I find people moaning about it being cold just because it has dropped a bit below 20c to be miserable.

Considering I don't moan about the cold and the fact that it hasn't even been cold yet, not for me anyway, I'd agree

Where's this hot weather we've been promised, it's cold and drizzling here in Derby, I'm thinking of turning the heating on.

My weather site says 17C in Derby, which is hardly cold.

Good! I have serviced the central heating and it's already to go, but I have a number of outside jobs still to do before the cold and wet stuff gets here for the duration.

Guttering and a small piece of wall to rebuild.

Completely cloudy and drizzly in south Wales for the last few days. I think the weather forecasters completely overestimated the effects the high pressure would have at this time of year.
