Hello,
I don't know if you can advise me on my first Kindle purchase! I am torn between the Amazon Kindle and the Paperwhite. There's a couple of pros and cons with each one but there's one thing that I am trying to find out.
I am quite a visual person and I love a good book cover. I noticed when looking at some demo Kindles that on the Paperwhite, when browsing the books you could browse by book cover, however on the normal Kindle the cover is missing and it's just by title.
Could some Kindle users advise me whether the book covers are indeed missing from the Amazon Kindle?

You can always try before you buy in the likes of Tesco or WHSmiths.
Think I'll need to look at them again to make up my mind but interesting to read the reviews!
Is the paperwhite better than the touch? I'm getting eye strain from reading the touch. Does the built in light make a big difference?
I've been using the Paperwhite since the day it launched here and when I pick up my old (my wifes) basic model it seems rather primitive, although I loved it before the paperwhite came along.
My mum has the Kindle Touch and I'd say the paperwhite is considerably better. I think they improved the touch screen on the paperwhite along with the higher definition display. The only downside is the paperwhite has no text to speech, which the Touch does.
Thanks for this. I think the PW, would be much better suited to me. The screen on the touch is so dark, even with a bright bedside light and the text made bigger, my eyes sting after a while.
When I bought the Touch I had no idea the PW would be rolled out 8 weeks later - annoying!! Anyway, I took the insurance out so the next question is how do you kill a kindle
