It's people sending a link to e-mail addresses - when the link is opened it's a Rick Astley pop video. When you try to close the link it takes several attempts due to pop up boxes asking if you're sure you want to exit .
I thought it was a virus at first until I watched "The Soup" and Joel McHale went to introduce a clip from LA INK and this "Never gonna give you up song" started to play and he said "Oh No, I've been Rick Rolled!"
It's when someone provides you a link but not the link you were expecting. For example....
I ask someone for a link to watch Doctor who, and then someone provides me a link, I click on the link and instead of a link for Doctor who, I get a link where rick astley begisn to sing "Never Gonna Give You"
And most of the time, If you don't know the basic I.T. stuff, it would take about 2 mins for you to get rid of that link and you get a small toolbar with loads of different piss taking message after you click it.

You can get most american programmes on sky these days or people watch or read about them on gossip sites, I don't fully know what hes talking about but have heard of that show before
