    Either way, she had an advantage and could have debilitated him without killing him. The fact is Janine wanted Michael dead so took her chance and went ahead and killed him.

    If that doesn't convince, think on one of her last lines from her own mouth 'Got away with murder'

    Perjury only applies to witnesses. Janine was a defendant.

    Perjury does apply to a defendant if she lies on the stand.

    Well as she was found not guilty of murder maybe the 3 months she already spent inside are sufficient for her perjury charge. :D

    Am fairly sure no matter who you are if you lie on oath, you have committed perjury (although obviously you'd need to be caught out!!)

    It's only perjury if it affects the trial, it didn't, she confessed before the jury deliberated. Though you are correct that perjury also applies to defendants who take the witness stand if it does, my mistake.
