Aldi - and I use the local mini supermarket Co-op as well.

Asda-Tesco or Sainsburys depends on what I want that day

I have all of the main supermarkets within a 2 mile radius of my home. I tend to use Asda mainly for the weekly shop, very good selection and the best for parking. My wife sometimes uses Waitrose or M&S for nicer stuff.

Tesco and Iceland the most because they are both within walking distance. Sometimes I get the bus to Asda. Sainsburys is further away and my impression was always that is was expensive so I don't bother, no idea where the nearest Waitrose is.

Edit: Apparently Waitrose aren't too interested in my area. There's a mini one in the city centre according to their website and then all the next nearest ones are way out in the posh part of the commuter belt.

They all seem to be putting their prices up. Wages are not going up or is anything else so why are the supermarket prices. Time to try Aldi methinks.

Tesco, purely for convenience. It's 8 miles to the next nearest supermarket (Asda) and any savings would be wiped out by petrol for a 16m round trip. I will pick up stuff elsewhere if I happen to be there but it's not worth the trip just for groceries.

Aldi. I'm not a fan of cheap brand products but I like Aldi stuff and save myself a fortune!

The only thing I won't buy from there is my coffee, but anything else is just fine.

I used to use Sainsbury, Tesco and for the nicer stuff Waitrose and M & S. But recently Tesco's is a right off. I use Aldi's if I happen to be near one.

Same place (Morrisons) as the last time we had a thread on this, I haven't changed.

Morrisons was excluded in that one as well.

Well no shop will price freeze forever, but they are still cheaper than the bigger supermarkets.

Asda as it's usually the cheapest.. and there's a McDonalds there, and it's easiest to park at.

Tesco Express for convenience if I'm passing one and only have 1-2 things to get.

...and Sainsbury's if desperate for something in particular as it's opposite my office, and therefore very convenient.

I get my shopping delivered from Asda or Tesco usually, alternating between offers and the vouchers they send.

Haven't used Asda for several weeks though as they kept delivering defrosted frozen food.

Actually trying Ocado for the 1st time tomorrow (only because of the £10 off for 1st delivery) :)

Sainsbury's because it's within walking distance.
I occassionaly go to Tesco or Asda if I am in the vicinity.
There are no Waitrose stores local to me.
