Last time I saw this I was 8, no recollection of it at all, worth a watch?
Same actually. The first Hartnell story I saw as a kid. Notable as the first story to touch on the perils of changing history. Also notable to have the first Doctor 'romance', even though it was more of a tactical romance. No kissy kissy.
2 Nov Aztecs
9 Nov Tomb of the Cybermen
16 Nov Spearhead from Space
23 Nov Pyramids of Mars
30 Nov Earthshock
7 Dec Vengeance on Varos
14 Dec Battlefield
21 Dec Paul McGann TV Movie
Why don't they ever show them in order? Instead of just any old one from any series.
Would be great to see every episode aired one after another in order.

But these 8 ARE in the order they were first broadcast.
And the Horror Channel does the same with the ones they have.
They can't show all of them because they don't have the rights to all of them. And both channels have generally selected the better ones.
Yes, I enjoyed it but there were a few 'Acorn Antiques' moments!
It was fun and for those of us watching FTA, seeing it on Drama (Freeview ch20) it's the first time I've seen a whole story from Hartnell's era (poor cavemen aside) in about [mumble, mumble] years.
The fact that it was full screen width must mean someone has taken it upon themselves to zoom in and lose the top and bottom, but satisfying the anti-black sidebars tentency.
Shame!
Not bad overall though and not a story I remember from childhood.
So I've had 3 DW hits today : The Aztecs, An Adventure in Time and Space and the latest episode now running on BBC3. This is what Sundays are meant for ! :):)

Just in case you don't know, there happen to be ninety seven episodes missing for starters! Though some of them have been reconstructed or animated. Which leads me to wonder: Will we ever see the animated episodes shown on tv?

They appear to have given them a two hour slot so that limits them to 4 parters. And I like the idea of it being a different Doctor each week.
I like most of their choices although I'd get whoever picked Battlefield to have a think about what they've done. Any other McCoy 4 parter would be preferrable.

Seriously?
I found that one of his better stories. Oh well.

At last !I don't have to have satellite to watch the classic series again
Very happy Lady :-)
Me, too.:):)
It's fairly good, but not the best of the era by a long stretch. I found it dragged a little in places.

Never mind, it's repeated at midnight and available online.
Thanks for the reminder. Caught a couple of them yesterday. Love Lucie Miller.
Funny, my Samsung had black bars down the side.

As did mine
