Presumably when Fear, Fire and Mortis escape they will put together some plan to rescue Death from Hell, where he was dragged to at the end of The Wilderness Days
Holy crap - just after reading prog 1779. What a revelation! That was almost on par with the Dead Man reveal for shock value. The comic is really excelling itself at the minute
i got some dvds with the first 1500 issues of 200ad on a couple of years ago(also all the annuals, summer specials, starlord, stuff like that)off ebay.been slowly working my way through it.it was so much better in the early years.on occasion i have a look at the newest issue but its nowhere near as good as when it started.
2000AD is still pretty good. Still delivers the thrill-power.
If there is nothing about Dredd (the new film) at this year’s Kapow! Comic Con (held next weekend) it will be a major disappointment and a huge marketing chance wasted.
It’s astonishing to think a new film based on Judge Dredd – and I quote the cover of Prog 1783 – “the greatest *British* comic book creation” won’t get any promotion at a *British* comic convention.
2000ADonline hasn’t mentioned anything about the film getting any promotion at the Con. It's laughable to think the convention won't have anything about the film. Not even a teaser poster?????

Mind boggling.
Maybe the organisers remember all too well the first movie.... I find drinking strong spirits helps you forget.
I'm honestly not keen on taking any 2000ad character to the big screen. The readers will always complain that its not true to the comic, its not mainstream enough to attract the average cinema goer and it usually damages an otherwise excellent record. I hope I'm wrong but I 'dread' this movie.... booo lame pun
Hi again. I started this 2000AD thread. Just wanted to say...
Due to bouts of depression I am giving up posting on internet forums. I've noticed I get extreme bouts of negative feelings, mostly a depressed feeling, going on the internet so I've decided to stop posting. My mind feels really foggy and not as clear as it used to be.
It seems there is a scientific basis for the condition:
In a study published in August 2010, otherwise healthy Chinese teenagers were examined over the course of nine months. The researchers discovered that those who used the Internet in a pathological manner were 2.5 times more likely to develop severe depression. Another 2010 study found that people who used the Internet 3 to 5 times a week to find information about their health conditions had significantly higher symptoms of depression than those who only did so occasionally.
I am convinced posting on forums and general surfing of the world wide web is making me feel a bit depressed so I've decided to have an extended break from the internet. I think internet forums are designed to provoke a degree of confrontation and this doesn't help my state of mind.
I'll continue to read 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Meg but I won't be posting any more messages about the comics. If people want to continue this thread and keep 2000AD alive on Digital Spy, please do.
End on a era. I started reading 2000ad full time when Dante was starting. Sorry to read you're going floopy. I can understand what you're talking about. Sometimes we all need a break from the internet. Frankly, quitting facebook was the best thing I did.

I see you didn't stay away for long.
However what you said was correct for a lot of people.
The original final page of Day of Chaos (2000AD Prog 1789) ended with the caption:
Next Prog: Counting the Cost!
which gave the impression the storyline was going to continue in the next prog. It didn't. Al Ewing wrote a story that didn't fit in context. I removed the caption and replaced it with:

I've been reading 2000AD for decades and thought I'd seen everything the prog could throw at me but..

Then this must be what the "they are coming" thing on the website was all about
No s**t Sherlock!!!
I hope so. It would seem an anticlimax if it was building up to the 2000ad-wiki

Whoops. Not quite.

Judgement arrives this September.
Plenty of good material for stories for the next few years
My mistake, the figure of 600 was for survivors from the Academy of Law
Judge Beeny says that Justice Department is down by more than 60%
However what you said was correct for a lot of people.

This gives the story proper closure.
