OP, in a few years time you will laugh at idea of only wearing the right branded clothes!. Actually strike that, you will be pissed off at having to fork out a fortune because your kids will only wear clothes that have the right name on them.
Where do you buy your sports wear from Nigel so we can start a thread:
"What do you think of people who buy clothes from......"
Maybe people are not as well off as you are (or think you are), maybe they are just very astute financially and know when buying something thats no longer in fashion for a fiver is far better than paying £45 for something that wont be in fashion in a few months?
Maybe some people are not bothered how they are judged by narrow minded people on what they wear. I certainly aint. As long as look smart and presentable for work and while out, thats all that matters. I earn a decent wage (Over 6K a month) yet cant see the point in spending huge amounts of money on fashion branded clothes.
Fashion is like technology, always changing, try and keep up and you be spending an awful lot of money.
BTW Sports direct owns the brands you mention, thats why they are sold there:

I disagree,i wouldn't dream of dressing my kids in cheap brands.Obviously you can mix things up.Like next isn't designer but for kids especially boys they sell quality gear that washes well.JD sports isn't designer but their clothes and trainers are far superior to sports direct. You can tell the difference. And people do judge you on your clothes, and this isn't a new thing. In the 80's we used to take the mic out of kids in their "Tesco two stripe" trackys
for people who don't have an ounce of fashion or taste maybe its OK but people like to look good in clothes and be fashionable, you can tell what kind of a person someone is by the clothes they wear and you can tell when it is cheap clothing
Ha! Ha! You so can't. In some people's cases, the type of clothes they wear can be very deceiving when it comes to the person's personality and behaviour.
If it's clothes for working out, PE or just lazy day clothes then fine but it's not my kind of thing outwith either going for a run or being so tired I can't be bothered getting dressed.
There's a fine line between dressing like a tramp and spending money you can't afford just to impress people you don't care about. I like to think I walk that line
I don't mind paying good money for a technical jacket, and Barbour do make things well (I have a few Barbour outdoor items), but £55 for a t-shirt?? That's taking the Michael somewhat!
but these are for best, i wear my SD Nike for everyday
sd is ok for cheap stuff though
Oooh the shorts are nice.OH had those trainers a while back,my fave trainers at the mo are the nike elite,my boys wear them with their converse shorts, looks nice.My kids have the SD trainers (NOT LONSDALE) for p.e.And like I said OH buys vests for work from their, some stuff is ok,like I bought some pool shoes for holidays for the kids.
no probs, any preference on colour? I think they go well with white 3/4 length shorts and a "tap out" fitted tshirt,so people think youre a cage fighter

they have always been expensive, and the style never changes...
not since Tom Hanks went up on Apollo 13, or Chevy Chase drove his family across America in Vacation...
when they go in the sale(if), black and white remain full price, they never get reduced
the Lacoste at jd is only lacoste sport as well, the "cheaper" range
you have to go to the boutique in liverpol for these.

Sportswear......"for best"? That doesn't make sense. Do you go on special runs that warrant finer apparel?
As for Nike shoes, I've used them all - Nike, New Balance, Saucony, Brooks.....and I don't rate Nike all that well. I've had the linings on them wear through and the stitching come undone. NB are really good, IMO.

I wear a lot of polo t-shirts and have tried a number of brands through the years. Anyone who pays over £50 for a black polo is a gunman short of a posse. It doesn't matter what brand it is, unless the quality is exceptionally poor, a black polo is a black polo. The fit shines through far more than the brand.

i did post a link for the slip ons
eurgh no,i only drink 2 cups of milky coffee a day,i don't think that's too bad:)
Even better, slip on version, class! I might nip into SD later, just for a laugh at the hideous footwear:D
Yeah, I agree.... there are styles that are timeless and if someone intends to use an expensive item for years then its money well spent.
But, there are people out there that need clothes now and only have a few quid to their name. Let them shop at SD if they want.
I just don't get how many people are so judgemental on others less fortunate or of a different opinion to them.
:D:D:D This is hilarious, lets keep this thread going

The patchwork effect of those shoes reminds me of those hideous quilted Barbour jackets.
