Why when doing a programme search there is never anything on from itv?.

Search works OK on all the ITV family of channels on my HDR.

umm i dont kinow then but if i put a search in for say drama/all channels and all times it always seems to e4/ch4/bbc and nothing else no itv or anything but the results are always 250 items found.

Ah, a "Genre" search, I don't do this much.

I thought you meant a search for a programme name. It does work if you search for Emmerdale, or Coronation, etc., it will find the programmes on ITV.

I have just tried various Genre searches, and you are correct that none seem to come up for ITV.

I wouldn't put the blame for this on the HDR, though.

I would bet my bottom dollar that the fault lies with ITV. Experience shows that the metadata they provide to the EPG on Freesat is cr*p. If they don't provide the genre information, then the HDR cannot return it.

That would be my guess - yet another ITV cock-up

Edit : I've just done a Genre search on Freeview, and ITV programmes are returned. This shows ITV can provide the metadata, but just don't seem to get it right on Freesat, even though they are a joint founding partner in the venture.
