Having watched him on Ant and Decs Takeaway now for a while, is it just me or does he keep pulling these stupid little faces for no reason. This silly grin and the arched eyebrows with the lips pouting outwards. Even when they switched cameras and his face wasnt even in the direction of a camera.........you could still see him standing there making these silly odd expressions.

Does anyone find him funny at all? I remember him from his shows years ago and i was never a fan. Other than this show does he still work at all? I cant see the funny side at all.

Without wanting to be pedantic, Brian Connolly was the singer in 70's Glam band the Sweet.

Brian Conley is a popular light entertainer.

I said i remember him from his tv shows. I dont recall him being a singer at all and to be honest now that i know that it still doesnt make me see what makes him so special. Maybe its just me but i dont see the hilarity whatsoever.

Hahahaha brilliant!

Anyway, i must admit i don't find 'Conley' very funny either, i never really liked his show he used to have on a saturday(?) night, but i believe it was popular though.

Guys it might just be me, but ive sat the past few saturdays watching this man pout the lips and arch the eyebrows and im sitting thinking what the hells going on. And you look at the other 'celebs' and not one of them is even cracking a smile. And you think to yourself is this really him? Is this just normal behaviour. He was doing a competition on GMTV last week, they done a VT with him and it was the same stuff again! He would speak, pull a funny face, speak, pull a funny face.

Its not like someone going out of their way to try and entertain you and make you laugh. Theres no jokes or anything. I dont understand it.

I think his appeal is he is a great singer and led one of the great glam rock bands of the 70s. It's a great shame that he drank himself to death.

Brian Conley on the other hand is a sh*te singer. He is has absolutely NO vocal range whatsoever, singing in the same ridiculous end of the pier singer/karaoke drawl with every song he does. Playing Al Jolson as he did in the west end would not have put an undue strain on his limited vocal talents as all that stuff was in a fairly low register.

And he's not funny either... in my opinion.

The Sweet.

They did Ballroom Blitz, Blockbuster, Fox On The Run, and had lots of other hits.

He died of liver failiure in 1997 due to years of alcohol addiction.

Interesting point, IMDB - the online film and television bible has a single entry for Brian Connolly as guest presenter of The Paul O' Grady show. Obviously even they have got the spelling wrong in one place as Brian Conley presented that, whereas Brian Connolly was dead and buried years before that programme even started.
