Why won't my Itunes recognise the songs?????
are all free cds like this now? |

are all free cds like this now? It doens't have anything to do with it being free, it's because it's a new CD that probabbly hasn't been entered into their database. If i'm wrong then i'm sure somebody will correct me

I think you're right, glyn. It's not hard-coded onto the disc itself as you get the odd occasion where it names the wrong order, and in iTunes there's an option to submit track names yourself.

I think it has a code in it that it check up on a database, then downloads and tags the songs.
*Edit* Just found this on freedb, iTunes uses one of the others through, but works the same I think lol 1.1. What is freedb? freedb is a database to look up CD information using the internet. This is done by a client (a freedb aware application) which calculates a (nearly) unique disc ID for a CD in your CD-Rom and then queries the database. As a result, the client displays the artist, CD-title, tracklist and some additional info. |
