It just occured to me - no one smokes in Hollyoaks! Is this a conscious thing do you think?

its a good thing but its strange..... cause theres so many smokers everywhere its odd to not have anybody smoke in a soap... but i haven't noticed either... barring the recent late night eps... wasn't there some in ireland with malachy & chris ?? im sure there was maybe it just me..

That's a good point, and obviously the fact no one seems to have noticeds shows the advertising of smoking isn't necessary...........

Not much smoking goes on now in any of the soaps.

Neighbours - can't think of anyone
Eastenders - anyone other than Dot?
H and A - don't think so

Don't watch Corrie or Emmerdale so I wouldn't know about them.

Max and Shirley smoke in Eastenders

Its weird cos some of the cast who smoke in real life dont smoke in the show and vice versa!

Deidre + Liz Smoke in Corrie

and steve who sometimes smokes, and becky smokes like a chimney.

it is slightly odd that no-one from hollyoaks smokes...can't be a bad thing i guess...
