Foxsat Hdr poor user manual
Having had a 9200T for a couple of years I decided to change to freesat and whilst the reception is excellent especially HD I am having a lot of difficulty with Media List.
Compared to the manual for the 9200 the Foxsat manual leaves a lot to be desired. I have not had the unit very long (bought about four weeks ago but only started to use it two weeks ago). No problems setting up recordings but playing them is a pain. The media list which comes on the screen is nothing like the screen shown page GB57 and I would rather quite simply make a playlist but file manager only comes up with rename/make folder options on each recording. Has anyone else had this problem or do I have a faulty unit. |

If you are on a folder just press the ok button to open that folder and then select the desired recording and the press the blue button |

Many thanks GC. I had already set it on 'normal' which is better than simple but it still seems to be hit & miss. I'm going off on holiday so hopefully I'll come back refreshed and perhaps look at it from a different perspective. It's this not being able to create a playlist and then add to playlist seems to be my main problem. Who knows, there may even be a software update by then!!

any ideas? If you mean deleting a programme from the recording schedule, it tells you on screen. I think it's the OPT+ button. If you mean deleting search terms you have entered when using the find function, there is no direct way of deleting them. However, they will all vanish automatically when you put the box into standby. What it's doing is caching your most recent searches and clearing the cache when you switch it off. |

Not quite sure what you mean.

I can't see why you would want to delete a search term, when it is flushed at standby time. Edit : It defaults to <NEW> at the top anyway, so you don't have to scroll down or anything to enter anew search; no harm in leaving earlier searches in until standby. Rgds. Les. Thanks for that,it was the second part search terms ,"However, they will all vanish automatically when you put the box into standby" it's things like that need to be in the manual.

We haven't even read our manual. It's still untouched. We just turned the box on and used it. It all seems very straightforward.

LOL, me too. However, if it was your 1st PVR it might be just a little better to read the manual 1st. But it's not rocket science is it.
