is there a point?
i don't want to waste money by getting a bluetooth enabled phone if it's features will go unused.
some questions... 1a) if i get a bluetooth enabled phone (t610) can i use bluetooth without having to purchase further gear? b) if yes what can i do using bluetooth 2) are any bluetooth features relevant to a teenagers lifestyle? some info: i have a broadband connection, i don't have a pda, i use msn messenger A LOT, i don't want to spend more than £50 on bluetooth equipment any advice is greatly appreciated

You could get a bluetooth USB dongle for under £20 off eBay, and use it to transfer pictures off your phone? Or sync your Outlook calendar?
Or you could use it for sending pictures/messages to friends? |

I had doubts when I got my 3650, I have one of the dongles, and use it to sync and x-fer pics, I also got a headset.
You can also have fun on boring train journeys seeing how many people have their Bluetooth identity's oopen (what some refer to as Bluejack) |

Simple Bluejacking -
Sending a message direct to phone to see who it is, see their reaction (amusing in a pub) More fun Bluejacking There are several apps out that can be loaded on a phone with a simbian os, this will look at open bluetooth connections, and then depending on the phones security you can see their phone book, calendars etc. The exploit is usually at the lack of security phone side, rather than the protocol itself. |
