Earphones suitable for gardening etc outdoors?

Can anyone recommend some earphones (or even headphones) which are good to wear whilst digging the garden, or similar quite physical outdoor work? I find that all the ones I have work loose quickly so I have to keep stopping to push them back in. Also the cable gets caught on branches etc, although that's not really the earphones' fault.

Ideally they should have decent sound, not cost a fortune and be compatible with an ancient iPod.

I've got a pair of Panasonics that basically have a back of the ear clip with the earphone being held in place in the ear. They're fairly robust.
