Wallander Ringtone?
Does anyone know what the ringtone on the BBC Kurt Wallander series has on his mobile?

He must have really liked that particular tone, or was just set in his ways because if I remember correctly his phone got smashed near the end of the second episode. By next time it was back to the same ringtone.
I just noticed that back when I watched it. |

I had exact same reaction on hearing the heavily used ringtone..
So much so, that i had to get it for myself.. which I did.. If you want a copy of it, PM me and i'll email it to you in MP3 format... What's the collective term for a group of Wallanders?? D

Actually, that repeated tone is in S2, in the first episode. It wasn't there in episode 3 but I can't remember if the middle ep had it...

Doh. Looks like the page http://www.bratton.plus.com/wallander.html may have gone again because the owner exceeded his bandwidth use. It keeps coming and going. The offer to email the single "ring" stands.

I've had a look at that link, and frankly it's completely crap, as it doesn't work at all! If you took the time to read above, you'd see that i never claimed that it was professional quality... It's ripped off the actual show via iPlayer.. Hence has the dodgy background hum I wasn't able to remove completely.. I suggest you get a decent copy of the ringtone, isolate a single track and repeat that till the cows come home. Or better still, build a recording studio to re-create your own perfect copy, turn it into a hit single, make a million and retire to the Caribbean.. Above all, you get what you pay for... XX D |

 Suit yourself. I did say “as long as they are there” since I suspected they might go. There are crap versions on YouTube also. I am offering a clean one gratis that’s good to put in your mobile. If you don’t want it, don’t ask. And doubtless this guy’s site will be back up when he solves his bandwidth issues. In the meantime...
