One of things that would concern about former pros as judges is that question. As regards Camelia - her friendships with the other pros especially her partner Ian and Lilia whom she talks about being one of her best mates on the show - might compromise her judgement or be seen to as with judging you don't just have to be impartial but be seen to be soon. Karen doesn't seem to like Brendan much either and is quite matey with Matt - there might be similar issues there.

They just need to stop paying air fare for Len and Bruno! Well I am assuming that the duo don't pay their own fare.

Loose Bruno and Arlene and retire Bruce, drop a couple of contestants as it clearly didn't work having 2 extra last time. Any additional savings made can be used to buy Tess some decent outfits.

I think it is unlikely that a former pro would become a judge for that reason tbh.

Just spotted this comment, and completely agree. I think it was one of Kristina's real strengths that instead of making herself look fabulous and simply squirming around her partner, she choreographed simple steps for herself and danced in a real partnership.

Ola on the other hand seemed to deliberately draw attention to herself, away from her partner. A nice treat for the fellas, but not a good tactic IMO.

I think anyone's impartiality would be questioned by someone tbh but I think professionalism would triumph over personal likes and dislikes though, whether it be Camilla, Karen or A.N.Other in the judges chair...

Mind you, I used to think that of the present judges...

Just want to add that I don't believe any of the current pro's could show as much bias or suffer from as much selective vision as the current judges do Or behave as boorishly

Bang on.

I'm of the view that there is no alternative that would be any WORSE.

According to an article in today's Sunday Mirror,(sorry I can't do links), Tess will not be co-host on the new season of SCD, Aleesha Dixon will be taking her place, presumably for less money that Tess was getting, so perhaps the beeb are on track for the 5% saving.

I must admit Aleesha will be an improvement on Tess, she certainly couldn't be any worse.

This is the link.

I don't mind Tess, but I would love Alesha to be involved in SCD. Not sure how it would fit in with her music career, but maybe after she stood in for Tess while she has her baby Alesha will have a better idea of where her career is headed. I can just imagine a part of the results show where Alesha as singing presenter does a spot maybe involving a bit of dancing with the pros.

Thereby preventing Bruce doing the same or similar ...?
