I have an old TV I want to get rid of, but it's got a bit of a funny problem... the picture's gone a bit funny and you can't see the bottom of the picture. E.g. BBC News ticker is off screen.

I doubt if it's worth fixing, given what old CRTs are being sold for these days.... (maybe £30 in good working order) but should I:

a) Give it away on Freecycle?
b) Try and get a tenner on Gumtree?
c) Bin it (responsibly of course)

Afraid I don't remember the model number.

You won't get anything for it - but you could at least ask around and see if anybody you know might want it for a spare room. I got rid of a 32" widescreen CRT last week this way - I knew I couldn't sell it, even though it didn't have any funny problems, but I know somebody who currently only has a 28" 4:3 CRT, so they were more than happy to take it off my hands.

I should say it's widescreen! And colour!

I slapped it onto Freecycle and there's been plenty interest - was worried I wouldn't even be able to give it away!
