Any thoughts?

P.s. There is an (official?) twitter for series 5 - TheApprentice5.

Kate and Kimberley are hot!

Seems like a good bunch on paper, we'll have to wait and see what they are really like.
Could be the most competitive lot so far going by their past success and achievements.

Bring it on!

They all look much older than the age states. Hopefully a good clash of personalities

Would the PR firm be fired for not being able to spell 'Candidates?'

Oh and Ben Clarke looks like a young Dustin Hoffman!

Paula Jones looks like that mad one who kept shouting and crying. Frizzy, curly, ginger who I forget which series and name! No eye candy in the lads apart from Rocky perhaps! No puppy dog eyes Sophocles-esque lads at all!

Looks like the Beeb are updating their page - apprentice is redirecting to a blank holding page.

Thanks for the Taylor-Herring link!

What the f***ing use was it subscribing to the Beeb's 'Apprentice News Alert'? It's been over 2 hours since TH broke the news, and no email!

Depressingly (given my line of work) I'll predict the Estate Agent is going to be a complete numpty

No eye candy amongst the men either

On the plus side, several of the women look slightly insane

I can see a 'Kate appreciation thread' and 'Kimberley appreciation thread' appearing here before the first episode even airs!

"Business is the new Rock N Roll and I'm Elvis Presley". God, I've missed this show!

Oh, and apparently,
Spoiler
one of them has walked out already:

Why is Rocky even there?

He owns his own business, and already earns more than Siralun is offering, so what on earth is the point?

What happened to the 8th man? Was there always going to be an odd number of contestants? It's strange that there is more women than men.

^ He actually quit before filming of the first task had a chance to start. It was too late to replace him.

That's the story, or something along those lines.

See my spoiler above - there's a report on the Times' website today.

For the prospect of a "meeedja" "career" turning up at the opening of an envelope and probaly posing in his pants in the Stun whilst discussing his "6 times a night" with blond popsy addiction of course

It was confirmed at the press launch. I didn't know it was going to be classed as a spoiler...

It's mentioned at the start of the first episode anyway and they've apparently filmed an interview for You're Fired which will be shown next week.

Also the overseas episode has been axed this year because of the 'recession', so that particular task will now be based in Manchester and Liverpool (according to surallan). Shame.

Well, there's a turn up for the book. The Apprentice was the only UK reality TV program never to feature Scousers!

There's a great Scouser story by Piers Morgan when he was having dinner with SAS here. No wonder SAS won't have them on his program!

One or two people on various comment pages, forums etc claim to know Anita and that she will be the loud mouthed female of the series. but they did say they don't know the others so she could be overshadowed by even bigger personalities

I think you mean Jo from Series 2. I thought when I saw her she looks similar.

I just put it in as a spoiler as nobody seemed to have mentioned it, and I didn't know whether it was going to be part of the first episode. I guess now that it's on the BBC news site it's officially no longer a spoiler. Better safe than sorry I guess!

It's no bad thing actually. Most of the tasks always take place around London so it's good to go to some different parts of the country with their own unique selling conditions. I'd love to see how some of the public school educated city candidates get on in a blue collar city

One of the candiates (Rocky Andrews) played for "Middlesbrough United". WTF is that all about!

No secret - it is all over the meejah already. I would think it will be:

James McQuillan - A 32-year-old self-styled "schmoozer", who works as a senior commercial manager. A former child chess champion, doorman and trolley collector, he says that Al Pacino and J.K. Rowling are his inspirational figures. He admits to suffering from "foot in mouth syndrome" and says he would love to have been the brains behind the A-Team.
