Any idea when it will be possible to purchase a bluray dvd / hdd recorder?
I don't want to waste the money buying both a bluray player and a hdd recorder, just for a combined machine to become available.
Thanks.

On the contrary, they're already out in Japan.

I dont think a Freesat recorder was what the OP had in mind.

Will they have an HDMI input for recording HD to Bluray blanks?

I doubt it

And being restricted to copying from Freesat will also be subject to copy protection issues

Hi,

You might be looking for this:

However, to date, everything is Japan only, though that will be changing this year.

They'll also be in the 1Tb range and have muti-platform reception.

Kind regards,

MN
