Landscape typing for mail and SMS.

That's alot of people satisfied. (though I prefer standard keyboard.)

In terms of messaging:

Forward!. . . .and MMS!

All we need is Bluetooth capability and the Phone will be everything, everyone has asked for.

In app purchase, new business models, P2P connectivity, accessories can now talk through the Dock, built-in Maps for developers, Push Notifications, cut copy and paste, landscape mode for Apple apps, Messeges app for MMS. Voice Memo app for recording audio files, Calendar gets CalDAV, Stocks app gets more info, Search across all apps and iPhone OS gains Spotlight for certain items

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What are you getting excited about?

I thought yhou didn't need MMS or A2DP or all the other stuff Apple left out of the first couple of iterations of the phone.

It'll be fun watching all the iPhone owners suddenly change their colour and decide that MMS is actually needed after all.

(I'm thinking jammers here .... he's been arguing until he was blue in the face about how pointless and dead-tech MMS was ..... now Apple finally add it .... class!)

I remember you now, saying in another thread there would be a completely new handset model.

MMS is useless for me. Copy and Paste was needed simply as a workaround for forwarding texts and now i've got both.

I'm raging at the fact the basic features out aren't until summer - by then there'll probably be a new iPhone anyway.

Me and my friend were discussing making apps for the phone. I'm a sound guy though so I'll let him do the developing which doesn't justify the price for me.

I'll just wait until summer. (which if Push-Notifications launch is anything to go by will probably be summer 2010.)

A nice update but jeeez, why did we have to wait 18 months to get very basic stuff? No MMS (or bluetooth stereo - meh) for iPhone 1st Gen owners because of hardware limitations yet SwirlyMMS manages to do it perfectly? Weird.

Anyone else think the new in-program payment is going to lead to us shelling out more? The App store will be full of 59p 'demo' games with levels available for more and cash creeping the price up less noticeably then paying for games outright.

This is brilliant news, but Summer!

Jesus, we probably won't even get a bloody Summer here in Yorkshire.

What is stereo Bluetooth? Is it regular Bluetooth and means we can transfer files to other phones.

Stereo Bluetooth is stereo bluetooth... it means you can use a stereo Bluetooth headset to e.g. listen to music.

More accurate name is the A2DP Bluetooth profile.

Bluetooth file transfer is a different thing.

Apple engineers were asked during the Q&A about bluetooth being used to transfer music to other devices and were "genuinely bemused" by the question.

Cheers.

I thought that was the answer, but I was hoping........

Can't be greedy though, cut and paste and MMS will do.

It looks like they have put Flash Player to bed. It will never happen.
