I was priviliged to go to Blackpool Tower Ballroom yesterday to watch the recording of 'Strictly High School' to be broadcast on Sky1 in early May.

The program is presented by Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, who are tasked with taking 12 teenagers from a inner city London high school and training them to ballroom dance in just four weeks. The kids then have to perform their dances in front of a large audience in the Tower ballroom.

I won't spoil it by giving to much detail, but by the end of the performance I think the majority of the audience were fighting back the tears as the performance was so moving and emotional.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the complete program.

Hi Sally Ann I too was one of the priviledged people to have gone to Blackpool Tower Ballroom to join the children from the London school that was chosen to undertake Strictly High School but my capacity was as a grand parent so as you can imagine I too thought that it was brilliant and indeed very emotional. Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag were stars to get the kids up to that standard in four weeks considering most of them had never danced before, I know that my granson definiately had not and he is so pleased to have done it. And I am so so proud of all of them all as individuals and as a team they proved that they were worthy of the time and energy put in by all, they have given up so much of their own time, school half term and weekends. My grandson is now looking to join a dancing school to further his knowledge of dance. I can't wait for
Sky1 to screen it in May and see the whole programme. Viewing numbers will blow up the national grid!!! BRILLIANT....
